HOME OF NATIONAL SHOOT TO RETRIEVE CHAMPIONS AND WILD BIRD DOGS
3X NSTRA Champion Stud Tomoka's Mendy "Shades"

The owner of Setter Dogs has perused pedigrees, followed field trial records, attended/participated in field trials, hunted over many setters, talked with vets, utilized Wright's Coefficient of Inbreeding, and discussed breeding with many owners and breeders. I continue to do all of the above to stay current and follow the results of various breeding programs. Most importanty, I assess the dog that is being considered for breeding. This individual is alive and well, an assesment can be made of all of its traits and characteristics. I hunt on 30-50 wild bird hunts per season, participate in 20 field trials per year, and train year round. I know my dogs' characteristcs very well. Finally, the pups from my breedings are evaluated/monitored to determine if they carry important traits.
