My husband and I are not only hunting dog breeders we are both hunters.
The Llewellin Setters we breed are all hunting dogs and are truly amazing
bird dogs. We use our dogs on grouse, woodcock and pheasant. Most of our
Llewellin setters are orange and white beltons and the females are usually
35-45 pounds and the males are 40-55 pounds. Their coats are shorter than
standard english setters as a rule..
Our dogs are FDSB regisitered and their hips are excellent per Pennhip
exam.
Our
dogs also make great pets, are very intelligent and have a great desire
to please people.
For now we only have one or two litters per year, more when our kennel
is complete. For now the dogs and pups stay in our house. I begin working
and training the pups from the time they are four weeks old and all pups
are paper trained at seven weeks when I sell them.
