Beaverdam Kennels breeding program is based on one idea: improve the breed. For this reason, we select the best specimens available when we breed. Serious thought is given with regard to disposition and intelligence before any breeding occurs. I prefer to work with fun and intelligent dogs and would welcome any of the pups listed below at Beaverdam kennels. I know what these puppies are thinking because I trained their parents and in most cases, their grandparents also.

Hunt testing has become a big part of our kennel. We are very active in the UKC Hunting Retriever Club program. Our involvement with other testing programs will be determined by the desires of our clients. The event dogs remain in training with us for periods ranging from six months to two years depending on how high you set your goals and how many letters you want in front of your dog’s name.

Our training philosophy is very simple. Find something that motivates the pup and use it as a reward when the pup follows our lead.
