At Sharp Tooth Kennels our hounds are bred to be extremely fast and accurate. Loud bawl mouth on track and bawl/chop on tree.

Our philosophy is "Speed Kills" and it can be seen in many of our hounds. We breed smart long legged and very fast hounds. They run with their heads in the air but are also very adept at cold trailing to get a track started. Most of our hounds have big bawl mouths that can "rattle" the mountainside.

We are fortunate to have a great mountain area in which we can let our pups roam for the first 6 months or so to become "acquainted" with the woods and its smells. When ready they are familiar with many of the smells they may run across on tract and in a hunt. We also will expose our dogs to not only big mountain but a wide variety of hunting environments to create a well-rounded hound.
