Saginaw Bay Dock Reporter:
Aug-31-06 - At Bay City - fair perch fishing is being reported near Buoys 18 and 22. Also a few walleye were being taken fishing with crawler harnesses either trolling or still-fishing near the second Spark Plug.
At Sebewaing fishing is reported slow due to the weather, but a few perch were being taken in 12 feet of water near Lone Tree Island.
At Linwood fair perch fishing is being reported.
At Caseville, Fish at Oak Point for perch.
Aug-24-06 - At Bay City fair to good walleye fishing being reported north of the Callahan Reef and around the Spark Plug using crawler harnesses. Perch fishing has been reported good to very good at Buoys 1, 2, 15 and 16, also try near Buoy H.
At Linwood fair to good perch fishing near the black hole and pencil buoys in water 18 to 22 feet.
By Caseville, the perch fishing ranges from fair to good near Sleeper State Park. Also near Oak Point and Sand Point a few walleyes are being reported.

Aug-17-06 - At Linwood fair to good perch fishing around the Black Hole and Spark Plug.
At Sebewaing, Buoy H, Buoy 16, and Buoys 1 and 2. pearch fishing is rated good with many limit catches being reported.
At Caseville Walleye activity has slowed down.


Aug-10-06 - At Linwood the perch fishing ranges from fair to good. Try near the “blackhole” and the pencil buoys in water 18 to 22 feet deep. Walleye are reported fair.
At Bay City, the walleye fishing is good. Perch fishing has started with fish being caught in 27 feet of water around the Spark Plug and in 18 feet of water near the H Buoy. On Callahan Reef walleyes are in 7 to 9 feet of water.
At Caseville, the walleye fishing is fair, many of the fish are reported small. Perch are hitting in 35 feet of water near Oak Point.


Aug-04-06 - At Linwood, perch fishing is fair fishing near the black hole in about 20 feet of water. Walleye action is steady.
At Bay City, the walleye fishing is good the best area to drop is northeast of the spark plug in water 17 to 22 feet deep or out from Finn Road in water seven to 14 feet deep.
At Caseville the walleye fishing is reported to be good around the Charity Islands and perch fishing is fair near Sand Point.
At Quanicassee good walley fishing is reported using harnesses and Hot-n-Tots in 8 to 11 feet of water on the Callahan Reef.
At Sebewaing, boats are trolling south from Fish Point to the area off Sunset Bay Marina in 11 feet of water.

July-28-06 - Great report from Paul - finally got out fishin' here's what some info in case ya decide to go Wally fishin'. Fish were 15.25" to 22" and we threw back at least a dozen short ones.Bite was slow but we managed a nice 3 man limit of eaters taken near the "Spark Plug" on 1/4 and 1/2 oz Hot'n Tots and 3/8 Rattle Tots. 80' to 120' back off boards, 1.6 - 1.8 mph. Hot colors were "Tutti Frutti", "Gold/Black Back", and "Gold/Red Back".

Limit Catch

July-27-06 - Walleye fishing is fair on Saginaw Bay near Sand Point and the Charity Islands fishing in 15 to 20 feet of water.

July-20-06 -Decent numbers of walleye, but the fish are reported to be small.
July-06-06 - Good walleye fishing being reported on Saginaw Bay use either crawlers or Hot 'N Tots.  
June-29-06 - Walleye are being caught at the north end of the Slot off Sand Point, the Charities and Oak Point in 30 to 40 feet of water. Bass are hitting in Wildfowl Bay.

June-22-06 - No Report  
June-16-06 - Fishing has slowed.  
June-09-06 -Very good walleye fishing near Sand Point  
June-01-06 - A few walleye are being taken by Sand Point in waters 17 to 19 feet deep from the Slot  
May-25-06 -Slow due to the cool, windy weather from earlier in the week.
May-17-06 - No Report  
May-12-06 - Fishing activity this week was slow  
May-5-06 - Some walleys are can be taken by drifting in waters 6 to 18 feet deep off Sand Point.  
Apr-29-06 - The perch fising has slowed  
Apr-23-06 -Some nice perch and an occasional whitefish have been caught off the break wall and boardwalk.  
Apr-14-06 - Some small perch and suckers in and around the harbor
